Arsenal

Arsenal GW2 Predicted formation: 4-3-3

Notes/Injury Updates:

It is very difficult to predict the full-backs for Arsenal, which is going to be the case throughout the season- Timber vs White and Lewis Skelly vs Calafiori. White started GW1 vs Manchester United and was subbed off at 71 minutes. White was also not seen in the open training on Wednesday. Arteta told “let’s see” when asked about White’s availability. Arteta mentioned about managing Timber’s workload in training due to his latest injury as he didn’t take part in the training ground game.
Kai Havertz is set for a spell out with a knee injury. This improves Gyokeres expected minutes, but there could be Merino coming in as a sub for the final 30 minutes and playing as a striker as well.
Gabriel Jesus and Norgaard are ruled out.

Aston Villa Notes/Injury Updates:

Emi Martinez is available and should be back in the lineup after being suspended for GW1.
Konsa is suspended for GW2 after receiving a straight red card vs Newcastle in GW1.
Villa lacked the attacking threat(even before the red card) vs Newcastle, and Emery might drop one of Onana/Kamara and go for Malen/Guessland to opt for a 4-3-3 formation.

Bournemouth

Dango has left the team and has joined Brentford.
Iraola on Christie: “Ryan Christie has trained with us all the week so I hope he is with us.“We still have training this afternoon but we hope he is with us for the weekend.
Iraola on Kluivert: “Justin has done some things with us, he’s in a more difficult position than Ryan Christie but it’s good news that he has started doing things with the group.”
Lewis Cook is suspended for the first 2 Gameweeks. Unal is injured.

Brighton

Brighton Team News and Key Notes:

Hinshelwood has fully trained and will be back in the squad.
Rutter started as the Forward ahead of Welbeck, Had a good game and also won the penalty. He is a 6.0 Midfielder in FPL and should start the upcoming game as well.
Webster and March are still out.

“With the loss from João, we miss one more striker. Stefanos needs time to step into this role, so it’s a little bit of a balance thing. You have two strikers with Danny(Welbeck), with Georgi(Rutter), like, how to finish a game, how to start a game, how to finish strong. So for example, if Georgi starts, you can replace him with Danny. If you start with both, then you need to think about who’s a replacement. So it’s more a balance thing, but I’m very happy that Georgi can play in both positions. He can play as a striker, he can play as a 10 and an 8, so he’s very flexible, and that’s something that helps us.”

Burnley

Burnley could go back to 4 at the back vs relatively easier opponents like Sunderland, and someone like Bruun Larsen/Edwards could come in to the team.

Brentford

Damsgaard will be back after missing GW1 due to the birth of his child.
Pinnock is back in full training.
Ouattara has been signed by Brentford, but it is likely that he comes on as a substitute for his debut.
Henderson came on as a sub and he could replace Yarmoulyuk in the starting 11.

Chelsea

Jackson won’t be in the squad as he is looking for his options elsewhere in the transfer market.
Tosin is available and fit after missing GW1 due to a minor issue. So he should replace Acheampong.
Fofana has removed all his Instagram posts related to Chelsea, which suggests that he might leave Chelsea soon. Maresca told that he is fit and could even get some minutes off the bench.
Badiashille and Lavia are ruled out. Colwill is also out with a long-term inury

Crystal Palace

Chris Richards and Mitchell were rested for UECL midweek game but should start in Premier League.

Glasner wasn’t happy about the Transfer activity of Palace so far this season.

Oliver Glasner: “We had 17 outfield players available. There was one from the academy and two who we have already told they should leave the club. That means we have 14. Then, having six games from the 10th of August to the 31st, it’s not the best way to start the season.”

Everton Injury News/Updates:

Branthwaite, Mykolenko and Patterson are still ruled out. Back up LB Aznou returned to training today as per Moyes but our guess is that he might not be ready to start yet.
Mykolenko got injured in the final pre-season and was subbed off after just 12 minutes. Garner played in GW1 at LB.
Grealish came on as a substitute in GW1
Beto vs Barry is a 50/50 call, but it looks like Beto will be given at least a few more games.

Fulham

Latest Updates:

Bassey filled in at LB with both Sessegnon and Robinson missing GW1 and Cuenca played CB.
Marco Silva on Sessegnon and Robinson: “We are going to have another session tomorrow; we will take a decision on both Sess and Robinson. We didn’t want to take the risk with Sess last week,”
King(4.5 MID) played in the No.10 position ahead of Smith Rowe.
Muniz came on as a sub and got the injury-time equalizer. He could start ahead of Raul.

Leeds

Leeds team news:

Bijol was suspended for GW1, now that he is back, he should take his place over Struijk.
Ampadu is ruled out for GW2 and till the international break. Gruev should take his place. Struijk is also an option at DM. Longstaff is also an option.
Farke on using DCL: “When we will use him for the first time, we will decide spontaneously”
Farke on Noah Okafor: “We will see. I think each and every training session together with the team is important for him. He had a long summer break and then also a few weeks of individual training, so his general endurance is on a really good level but what he has missed is team training”

Liverpool

Liverpool GW2 Predicted Formation:

Liverpool Team News and Key Notes:

Frimpong will be out till the end of the International break due to a hamstring injury as confirmed by Arne Slot.
Slot also mentioned that Bradley has trained with the team for the first time in a while. So it is unlikely that he makes the starting line up right away. Joe Gomez was unable to train three days in a row after making his return against Bournemouth as per Slot.
When asked about who will play at Right back- Slot hinted at few options: “We only have at the moment two injuries. Unfortunately, it is two for the same position. But the good thing is that some others can play in that position as well. Wata(Endo) played in that position for a few minutes, Dominik Szoboszlai already played in that position.
Gravenberch was suspended for GW1, he will be back in the starting 11. We are predicting Gravenberch to replace Szoboszlai, but he could replace Gakpo/Wirtz as well. If he replaces Gakpo, Ekitike moves to the left, and Wirtz will play as the false 9.

Manchester City

Man City GW2 Predicted formation

Man City Notes/Injury Update:

Marmoush could replace Doku for GW2 in a tactical change.
Ederson is fit now and Pep told that he is yet to make a decision on his starting GK for GW2 between Trafford and Ederson.

Pep[On James Trafford]: We will decide tomorrow or tonight after dinner [who will be in the starting XI]. We know the new players bring new energy… James brings youth and desire to play at the Club he grew up with. Happy with the performance, it’s just the first game.

Foden and Rodri are fit. Pep: “Rodri and Phil [Foden] were out last game, but for just the reason of lack of training and rhythm, they didn’t travel to Palermo. They were not ready for 90 minutes against Wolves, but they are ready for tomorrow”.
Kovacic, Savinho and Gvardiol are ruled out.

Manchester United

Onana is expected to be back in goal vs Fulham as per multiple reports but Amorin didn’t confirm anything.

Newcastle United

Spurs team news:

Maddison will be out for months due to an ACL injury.
We are predicting Thomas Frank to go back up 3 at the back against a team like Manchester City, similar to how he set up vs PSG. Danso should come in as the third center back.
Udogie is back in training, but Man City game might be too quick for him.
With Richarlison scoring 2 great goals, Solanke will once again be coming off the bench. Frank confirmed the same in press conference.

Thomas Frank on Richarlison:

“Right now he is my starting nine. He scored two top goals”. “Richy wants to stay, I want to keep him and there’s been no talks about anything else”.

£4.5 Midfielder Potts has been impressive in pre-season and could start ahead of JWP/Rodriguez after the disaster in GW1.

Wolves

Larsen

Wolves Team News and Notes:

Fer Lopez and Munetsi could start as well in the Arias/Bellegarde position. Arias came on as a sub in GW1, but we feel he could be ahead of Munetsi in the pecking order.
Hoever(£4.0 DEF) started the first game at RWB, but he could lose his spot to Ricardo Gomes. Wolves are also in the transfer market looking for a right-back. So he might not be a good choice long term.
Mosquera might not be match fit yet, but when he is fully back, he should replace Doherty in the back three.
New signing Jackson Tchatchoua is available and Larsen is also committed and is also in training despite the transfer rumors.
