FPL managers are preparing for Huge Gameweek 35 which is confirmed to be a Double for Nine teams and TRIPLE for Manchester United followed by a Blank Gameweek 36 for four teams  ( ARS – CHE – LEI – MUN )

In this article we shall discuss the TGW for Man UTD along with five teams who have Double Gameweek in 35 AND playing in Blank Gameweek 36 : LiverpoolEverton, Palace, Villa and Southampton

Man UTD Triple Gameweek 👇

Did someone say a Triple Gameweek?

Yes, you read it correctly. The Red Devils will have a triple game week AVL(A)+ two fixtures against LEI(H)+LIV(H). Of course, it’s not the easiest fixtures but it’s still a TRIPLE GW.

In this part i will have my analysis in terms of Facts not Stats, How ?

If you are free-hitting or Wildcarding, The Key factor here is the ” Rotation Risk” especially with Manchester 2nd Leg against Roma coming up. The most nailed players for me will be AWB and Harry Maguire. Other than that, No one guaranteed to play thrice a week.

It will be a little bit easier for wild-carders and Free-hitters who will figure out the best options per their unlimited transfers but how should other FPL managers with no Chips deal?

Shaw, Bruno, and Rash/Greenwood are all the key assets. As an owner for Shaw and Greenwood, I will play them normally and expecting both to start 2/3 which is fair enough for me. What about Bruno?

Bruno is a must-have this week and he 90% nailed for Leicester and Liverpool games. Personally, I am thinking of selling Kane to afford Bruno and Have a triple up of Shaw – Greenwood, and Fernandes.

Teams who have Double Gameweek in 35 AND playing in Blank Gameweek 36👇

FPL Analysis of Teams doubling in GW35 and playing in GW36

1. Liverpool

Image

It’s confirmed now that Liverpool will host Southampton at Anfield then travel to Manchester to play against the Red Devils in DGW35, then playing against West Brom (A) in BGW36

Salah – Jota & TAA 👇

Digging directly into the key players for Liverpool’s double, Mo Salah is a MUST for me as he sits 1st among the PL midfielders during the last six gameweeks for goal attempts (17), Big chances (6), Penalty touches (35). The Egyptian king is also recording a fascinating stat for mins per attempts inside the box = 20.6

The firing start for Diogo Jota with Liverpool versus his current form makes the owners doubt whether to keep or replace him with other promising midfielders. Before you decide, I will try to analyze the firing period and the current form for the Portuguese excluding his injury period [ GW3 – GW11 vs GW26 – GW33 ]:

– Goals/Assists : 5/0 vs 3/0
– Mins per attempt in box : 35.8 vs 26.9 – Mins per shot on target : 45.5 vs 45.8 – Mins per Chances created : 84 vs 76
– Mins per xGi : 165.9 vs 158.5
– Goal Attempts : 20 vs 19

Diogo still provides huge numbers 👀

Trent Alexander-Arnold recorded 7 goal attempts over the past 6 game weeks ( Only Dallas is more than him with 11 ). Since GW26, No player has created chances more than TAA (21) except Son (23)

Anyone Triple up ? 😍

2. Everton

The Toffies will face Westham and Aston Villa respectively in DGW35 away from the Godisson Park followed by a fixture aganist Sheffield at home. Everton are quite better away from home this season, while West Ham United and Aston Villa have conceded plenty of goals recently.

DCL vs Richarlison👇

DCL FPL GW35 asset to own

Despite DCL scoring more goals than Richa over the last six matches, However, The Brazilian managed to have nearly triple times the penalty area touches (29) than the English striker (9) in addition to 15 goal attempts compared to only 6 for Calvert-Lewin. The key factor, in my opinion, to prefer DCL over Richarlison is the GCR ” Goal Conversion Rate”, 16.7% for DCL vs 0% for Richarlison hence, DCL is more clinical on the goal, and therefore, he is the best option from the Everton Attack.

Sigurdsson vs Rodriguez👇

Coming to the midfield, 13 goal attempts with 14 penalty area touches for Siggy vs 9 attempts and 10 penalty area touches for Rodriguez.

The heat maps below shows a quite advantage for the Iceland playmaker around the box rather than the Colombian.

There is no huge gap between Sigurdsson and Hamez with respect to their underlying stats, but for me set pieces, Penalty duties make the Iceland playmaker more preferable.

3. Crystal Palace

The Eagles -on paper- have the easiest DGW fixture when they face Sheffield+Southampton away from Selhurst Park then hosting Aston villa in BGW36.

Plans begin to rise for a defender + Zaha in the FPL manager’s mind, however, is that worthy? Let’s discuss this via the below analysis:

Guaita FPL GW35

Both Sheffield and Southampton are ranked 3rd and 5th worth in goal attempts during all the home matches with 164 and 187 respectively, furthermore both teams also are 2nd and 3rd worth for the total big chances in their home matches with only 22 for the blades and 25 for the Saints.

Stats from FFScout

Accordingly, if we chose a defender from Crystal palace it won’t be in a view of us trusting their backline but due to their opponents poor attacking numbers which are worthy to take the gamble.

Best Palace Defenders: Guaita – Ward

Zaha FPL GW35

Wilfred Zaha is the one-man show for the eagles who is considered the 7th best among midfielders to have big chances against the bottom 10 Teams with 7 big chances, Scored 5 (5th best). The Eagles talisman has an xG = 4.34 against the same teams ranked in the top 10 players (10th).

Roy Hodgson confirms Zaha will be assessed about his groin. If he is fit for the double he will be my first transfer this week✅

4. Aston Villa

The Villans will have a tricky DGW when they host Man UTD + Everton at Villa park followed by a travel to London where they will be welcomed by Crystal Palace in BGW36.

Ollie Watkins FPL GW35

Ollie Watkins managed to deliver in all of his last 5 appearances scoring 3 and providing 2 assists. Despite the huge impact due to the absence of Jack Grealish, the English striker is strongly competing with the elite forwards during the last 6 game weeks as he scored 3 goals with only Kane and Wood outscoring him with 5. The Villan Striker recorded 40 penalty area touches (1st), with Mins per shot on target = 77.1 (4th ).

Stats from FFScout

Defensively, Aston Villa kept only 3 Clean sheets from GW24- GW34 conceding 14 Goals (6th worst) as well as 23 Big chances (5th worst).

During the same above period, One stat had caught my eyes and might be interesting for others: Aston villa conceded 44 chances from their right flank while Man Utd has 43.4% of their chances created from their left flank ( Shaw + Rashford).

Personally, I can see Villa might keep only one clean sheet against Everton hence I am not encouraging to buy a defensive asset from Villa, If you have Martinez play him, If you have Targett or Konsa Play them.

5. Southampton

James Ward Prowse FPL GW35

The Saints will be playing against LIV (A) + CRY(H) then hosting Fulham at Saint Mary. Of course, FPL managers put their hopes in CRY and FUL games however, let’s put into consideration that the reverse fixture against Liverpool ended 1-0 to the Saints when Ings scored the winner and Fraser Forster kept the clean sheet.

Ralph Hasenhüttl confirmed that Forster will be featuring the 2 fixtures in DGW35 against LIV(A)+CRY(H) and then McCarthy returns to his place against Fulham in BGW36 which is 50-50 for the owners.

With the absence of Vestergaard due to his last red card against Leicester, the saints will be weakened at the backline so I am not fascinated to bring a defender if I am not already owning. If I have Forster I would start him for some saves against the Reds and hoping to catch a clean sheet in the 2nd match CRY(H).

During the period [GW24-GW34], James Ward-Prowse {£5.8} managed to score 3 goals (All from the Penalty Spot), had 9 shots on target (4th best) as well as taking all corners, set pieces, and on penalty duties.

JWP is currently the 6th best FPL midfielder with 142 points could be a good option for the upcoming double and blank gameweek specially with his TSB 9.4%

Finally, another good punt in the saints attack is Che Adams [£5.7 – TSB 4.2%] who is supposed to be nailed post the Hamstring injury suffered by Danny Ings.
